US: L'Oreal Paris launches Worth It Rewards

Beauty product manufacturer L'Oréal Paris last week launched "Worth It Rewards," a first-in-mass for a beauty, multi-category loyalty program. Offered across the brand's four categories – cosmetics, hair color, hair care and skin care – the program rewards consumers for purchases they're already making, while also providing them with philanthropic opportunities. Also notable: The program effectively allows you to double-dip by linking your favorite retailer's loyalty card to Worth It Rewards to earn in both programs.
 
Upon joining the program, members are offered exclusive benefits such as: a welcome package, a birthday present, access to accelerated points promotions and coupons. On the "Worth It Rewards" site, consumers can link their pre-existing retailer loyalty cards, allowing for automatic point collection at check-out when purchasing L'Oreal Paris products. They can also upload receipts directly on the site to receive their points. Consumers earn five points for every dollar spent on L'Oreal Paris products. Members can redeem points on rewards including retailer gift cards, magazine subscriptions, and consultations with beauty experts. The program also allows consumers to donate points to the organizations of L'Oreal Paris' Women of Worth honorees. Women of Worth is L'Oreal Paris' signature philanthropy program, which each year recognizes "ten everyday women making beautiful difference in their communities."
