Points.com and Frequent Flyer Services offer new service

Points.com and Frequent Flyer Services are to offer what is claimed to be the most sophisticated loyalty card points management system available.

Points.com and Frequent Flyer Services are to offer a points management system that combines Frequent Flyer Services' MileageManager and Points.com's pointsxchange system. MileageManager is an internet-based mileage management and aggregation resource, while pointsxchange allows consumers to swap points between participating loyalty programmes or into gift certificates. Loyalty programmes participating in pointsxchange include American Airlines, Air Canada, America West Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Midwest Express Airlines, Alaska Airlines, ChanceRewards, FTD.com, Esso Extra and GiftCertificates.com.

This means that members of MileageManager can now aggregate their loyalty programme information and manage those programmes through pointsxchange.

The two companies will jointly market the new points management system, focusing on travel and related portals. Revenues earned through the new service will be shared with participating portals based on activity that originates from a portal site. For a previous article on Points.com, click here.
