Many of you have seen the news of the horrific collapse of the Champlain Towers South Condo in Surfside, Florida. The tragedy unfolded in the darkness of early Thursday morning, June 24th, about 1:30am ET.

What you may not know is that the marketing community lost a tremendous talent and person, Stacie Fang, as result of the collapse. Stacie’s 15-year-old son Jonah Handler was miraculously rescued from the debris and is recovering now.

You can see more details of the story here.

Stacie was an integral part of the CRMC team. This is the group led by Devon Wylie and which, in our opinion, holds the most valuable conference for retailers in the US each year. The Wise Marketer is privileged to partner with CRMC, and we have worked closely with their team over the past two years.

While we cannot imagine the sting of the loss for the CRMC team, we do feel a heavy impact and wish to express our sympathy to the CRMC community.

As principal advocates for the customer loyalty community in the US, we wanted to acknowledge Stacie Fang, her son, and the CRMC team. We thought you would want to know too.

Please wish them well and offer support as appropriate.
