New York, 21 February - Storyteq's ActiveDAM has been named a 'Strong Performer' in the prestigious report, The Forrester Wave(tm): Digital Asset Management Systems, Q1 2024.

As the Forrester report states, the "Storyteq DAM product vision is to flip DAMs from a passive to a proactive asset management repository across use cases for AI, new content generation, data integration, and support." It also notes that Storyteq's DAM is "focused on increasing DAM's value within the marketing enterprise..." and "is a good fit for B2C buyers looking to power rich, immersive digital experiences."

James Masters, Head of Content & Media Technology at Haleon, said, "Storyteq's ActiveDAM has enabled us to greatly improve the roll-out and governance of our marketing assets, and subsequently derive insights on the global use of content. Now seamlessly connected with our content production workflows and brand guidelines, our teams have one system enabling them to deliver on-brand content efficiently."

Stepping away from the traditional, passive role of a DAM as a simple asset storage system, Storyteq's ActiveDAM is a proactive platform that promotes content (everything from guidelines and core brand elements to full campaigns), enabling teams to rapidly adapt and activate on-brand marketing.

Mark van Iterson, Global Director of Design on Heineken's Global Innovation Team, said, "We've improved our speed to market with Storyteq ActiveDAM. All our local markets now have instant access to centrally approved campaigns, content, brand guidelines, playbooks and more, so we can roll out marketing everywhere with strong brand compliance and governance."

Traditional static DAMs face a number of complex challenges in modern marketing, whether that's underused assets, storage vs real business value, user adoption, or the need for greater personalization and localization of content - which is why brands including Heineken and Haleon have turned to Storyteq.

With growing demand for content across an explosion of new channels, ActiveDAM moves away from asset storage and instead focuses on truly omnichannel campaign activation.

Brand Portals and Creative Automation are the tools within ActiveDAM that make it fast and easy to reuse and repurpose existing content, while automating production of assets that are pre-formatted for every channel and market.

John Kirk, Group Deputy CEO of Inspired Thinking Group, said, "DAMs are evolving from passive asset repositories into proactive members of your marketing team. Our vision for the Storyteq ActiveDAM is closer to what you'd call a 'Netflix experience' as opposed to the traditional definition of a DAM - where the platform is actively making suggestions using a combination of data and AI, promoting your best campaigns and content to maximize your return."

Storyteq acts as the technology engine of the Inspired Thinking Group, founded in 2009, working in tandem with the marketing activation business Team ITG. As the Forrester report acknowledges, "...it offers a product built with marketing DNA and innovation rich enough to be on par with long-term DAM vendors."
