3Com rewards channel partners for customer service

The global voice and data networking supplier 3Com Global Services has launched a loyalty and incentive programme for its sales partners to encourage better customer service and sales efforts across the board.

3Com introduced the Authorized 3Com Service Delivery Program and the new Authorized 3Com Service Reseller Program to its channel partners to reward and recognise the company's channel partners for commitment to service excellence.

New programmes The Service Delivery programme is designed to reward channel partners who provide their own services to support the company's networking products. The programme is open to all 3Com Gold and Silver level Focus partners, as well as Bronze level partners with NBX Voice Authorization status.

The Service Reseller programme rewards channel partners who sell 3Com's own service offerings (rather than just selling products). This programme is open to all Gold, Silver and Bronze partners that have registered with 3Com's Focus partner programme.

"We offer a variety of 3Com services for resale and collaborate with channel partners who deliver their own branded services for 3Com products. The combination of 3Com's broad product portfolio and expert services deliver superior business value to our partners by providing a complete solution that helps ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty," explained Sue McKeown, channel director for 3Com Global Services. "Through these new service programmes channel partners can increase their support relationship with 3Com, grow their service business, and reap benefits that include additional discounts, 3Com web site listings, sales leads, and access to programme resources."

Partner benefits The programme benefits channel partners in the following ways:

  • Features: The programme allows partners to seek Authorized 3Com Service Delivery status in all 3Com technology areas or in a subset of 3Com technology areas. Partners also choose the geographic area for which they seek authorisation.  
  • Business benefits: Authorized 3Com Service Delivery partners can publish their service profile on the 3Com web site to help generate end-user demand and increase sales. They also receive bigger discounts on end-user services, training and professional services to help increase their profit margin. There are also extra technical support facilities available to them.
