Aeroplan launches certificate-based marketing tool
Aeroplan has launched the Aeronote programme a certificate-based marketing tool that will enable Canadian businesses to use Aeroplan Miles simply and quickly.
Aeroplan's aim is to provide an out-of-the-box and off-the-shelf promotional marketing tool that leverages the Aeroplan Mile, and so to provide an easy to use and cost effective way for businesses to achieve their goals. These include driving sales, energising sales promotions, rewarding valuable and loyal customers, resolving customer service issues, attracting new and first-time customers and encouraging repeat business with their customers.
The programme also allows Aeroplan to participate in the rapidly growing market for gift and pre-paid cards.
Online redemption The certificates can be deposited online by Aeroplan members. For instance, when a merchant provides an Aeronote certificate at the point of sale, the member simply needs his or her name, Aeroplan number and a serial number (located on the certificate) to deposit the miles securely into their account at Aeroplan.com.
The certificates can be customised and co-branded with the issuing business's brand, logo and message.
The Aeroplan network has more than 60 partners, representing more than 100 brands in the financial, travel and retail sectors. Members can redeem miles toward travel to more than 700 global destinations or for a wide array of lifestyle rewards.
