Air Miles Canada and BMO renew partnership

BMO Bank of Montreal MasterCard has signed a long-term agreement to continue its relationship with the Canadian Air Miles Reward programme, operated by The Loyalty Group (a subsidiary of Alliance Data Systems). The specific terms have not been disclosed but are said to be largely the same as the previous agreement.

Under the new agreement, BMO Bank of Montreal MasterCard will continue to offer the Air Miles option on its BMO Mosaik MasterCard credit card and its Air Miles MasterCard business credit card.

"This agreement helps us to solidify our position well into the future through a loyalty programme that delivers a strategic advantage to BMO, and consumer appeal to millions of enthusiastic collectors across Canada," explained Mike Kitchen, vice president of retail cardholder products and marketing for BMO Bank of Montreal.

More than 60% of Canadian households (more than 14.6 million individuals) actively collect Air Miles reward miles through more than 100 brand-name sponsors, representing over 12,000 retail and service locations throughout the country.

John Scullion, president and chief executive officer of The Loyalty Group, said, "This contract renewal with BMO Bank of Montreal MasterCard underscores the success of the relationship between BMO Bank of Montreal and Alliance's Loyalty Group."
