AirMiles Travel Company to launch UK shopping web site

The UK-based AirMiles Travel Company is to tap into the UK's recent online shopping boom by launching a new online shopping site this summer with over thirty retailers including major high street names.

AirMiles Travel Company is teaming up with European provider of online marketing solutions, TradeDoubler, and Canadian partner marketing company, Plan B, to launch an online mall that will feature retailers including Dixons.co.uk, Curry's.co.uk, HMV.com, John Lewis Direct and Carphone Warehouse. Consumers will be able to collect AirMiles while shopping online at rates of up to 1 Air Mile for every £2 spent (approx. US$4).

According to Duncan Olby, Director of Strategy & Partnerships at The AirMiles Travel Company: "The AirMiles customers who collect AirMiles through a number of our many partners both on the high street and now with retailers online will reap the greatest rewards. And as an additional benefit, customers who pay using their NatWest or RBS credit card will earn miles at an even faster rate."
