Amazon.com to score points through Points.com

The online retailer Amazon.com has partnered up with Points International (the operator of the loyalty points exchange, Points.com) to allow consumers to redeem miles and points for an array of merchandise.

Points International announced the strategic agreement with Amazon.com, which aims to offer consumers a further level of e-retail flexibility, with new redemption options even including Amazon.com gift certificates.

To promote the new partnership, Points.com is launching a promotional campaign, starting today. New customers signing up through Points.com receive a bonus in their main reward programme's currency, and are also automatically entered into a sweepstake for prizes including a US$200 Amazon.com gift certificate (the contest is only available to US residents, and ends 30th November 2005).

More options According to Points International's CEO, Rob MacLean, "Amazon.com is a popular online retailer, and we are very excited to add it to our line-up of partners. With Amazon.com's range of books, DVDs, consumer electronics and other merchandise, members have a wealth of options to choose from when redeeming reward miles and points."
