American Express to reward travel agents for bookings
American Express has launched several new initiatives that should help travel agents grow their business, provide customers with better service, and earn rewards for each qualifying holiday package they book for American Express card members.
The first of these initiatives is a programme that aggregates dozens of exclusive supplier offers and posts them on its travel agent website, providing agents with detailed information on card member offers and so helping them to answer customer questions. Agents can also use the site to find the latest information about other American Express products and services of benefit to the agency community.
In another initiative, American Express has leveraged its relationships with some leading travel suppliers to create more than 50 travel packages ranging from luxury hotel upgrades, resort and ship credits to special access to unique amenities and experiences. These offers are bookable by all travel agents.
Reward programme In combination with these initiatives, American Express has also introduced a new programme that rewards agents for eligible bookings. By visiting the American Express travel agent website, agents can find a listing of travel offers which also include agent rewards for bookings made on an American Express card.
Agents can receive their choice of up to a US$100 American Express Gift Card, 10,000 Membership Rewards points, or a special gift item based on the dollar value of each booking.
A simple interface makes it easy for agents to post eligible bookings in order to collect rewards. The special card member travel offers and the related agent reward programme are valid on travel booked from April 18th until June 17th 2005.
