Big Train launches B2B loyalty scheme
Big Train, a maker and distributor of premium drink mixes, has launched a business-to-business (B2B) loyalty programme called OnTrack Rewards, offering Big Train business customers loyalty points that can later be redeemed for free products.
Big Train teamed up with business management software fire Apptivo to create OnTrack Rewards, which is available to all US businesses that purchase Big Train products. By joining the programme, customers can:
- Redeem points for free products;
- Participate in private members-only events;
- Influence product development;
- Gain access to special offers;
- Receive the latest point of purchase marketing materials;
- Obtain advanced notice of new Big Train products.
As an incentive to join the programme, Big Train is offering 1,000 free points (worth one free case of product) to new members. To join the OnTrack Rewards programme, any authorised representative of a company that buys Big Train products can simply register online through the programme's web site.
Based on Apptivo's existing Loyalty Management platform, OnTrack Rewards allows Big Train to control reward products and all related attributes through a custom-built user interface that helps the company support customers that buy and serve Big Train products, as well as distributors.
The system also includes a dynamic certificate delivery process that controls and tracks the redemption and expiration of certificates and rewards, and that also provides a purchase reporting mechanism and administrative control processes.
According to Jim Wendt, e-commerce marketing manager for Big Train, the company looked at a number of loyalty solutions but nothing quite fitted the company's requirements: "What we wanted did not exist, so we partnered with Apptivo to build an online loyalty system that was easy to use and administer."
