Boost Mobile launches VIP rewards programme
Boost Mobile, a US-based mobile telecoms operator that aims its wireless communications products largely at the youth market, has introduced a loyalty rewards programme called 'Boost VIP Rewards' as an extension to its existing Boost VIP customer benefits programme.
The Boost VIP programme offers monetary incentives and various "lifestyle experiences" and benefits to help increase customers' brand loyalty, and also provides exclusive content, tickets to Boost-sponsored events, contests, sweepstakes, handset upgrades, free trials and other rewards. But the new Boost VIP Rewards extension provides an extra 10% reward based on customers sustaining preset spending levels from month to month.
Account credit rewards Boost Mobile's Pay-As-You-Go and Premium Prepaid customers enrolled in the Boost VIP Rewards programme will receive 10% back (up to a maximum of US$30) in the form of account credits, if they spend more than US$10 per month for three consecutive months. Any amount spent on minutes, chirp, ringtones, wallpapers, digital content and surfing the web counts toward the 10% VIP Reward.
According to Melissa Hilton, director of customer base marketing for Boost Mobile, "Boost VIP Rewards has the potential to greatly increase customer satisfaction while simultaneously raising our average revenue per user. Our customers have told us that they would definitely use their Boost phone more and would be far more likely to immediately Re-Boost their account in exchange for a 10% credit."
Boost Mobile is making use of its various sponsorships and events to offer VIP customers unique experiences. For example, ten customers in Los Angeles were recently sent to the Boost Mobile RockCorps payoff concert, with preferred seating, VIP passes to the pre-concert reception and after-event party, including car service to and from the event. One of the ten was even taken backstage for a meet-and-greet with the artists performing at the concert.
