British Airways seeks new generation of marketers

British Airways is embarking on a recruitment campaign to attract a new generation of marketers to the company as part of a reinvestment in its brand and product communications to support business growth.

The airline wants to attract experienced marketers to complement its existing in-house team.

New campaigns, new approach British Airways launched its new brand campaign in September to emphasise its commitment to service and plans a major 360 campaign to support its move to Heathrow's Terminal 5 in March 2008. Both campaigns mark a new era for the airline, which plans to invest in new products, and services and last month announced orders for new long haul aircraft.

Tiffany Hall, BA's head of marketing and distribution, said: "Our customers continue to be at the heart of our business and we are in an exciting period as we invest in new products and services to meet their needs.

Calling all marketers The airline is also looking for new recruits to join its ba.com product development and market research teams.

"This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to be part of our future as we look to grow our business again. Marketing has an enormous role to play in shaping the direction of the company - whether that is in the development of our products and service or use of digital channels to promote and support our business. We're looking for people with fresh thinking and strong marketing skills in both traditional and new channels," concluded Hall.
