Budweiser rolls out loyalty card for beer drinkers
Budweiser has launched a loyalty card for beer drinkers in Guam. The new 'Bud Fresh Rewards Card' offers adult consumers both points and prizes for their participation in the loyalty programme.
Using the thermally re-printable GraphiCard loyalty card system from Visible Results USA, programme members' cards are simply inserted into a smart point-of-sale terminal during the sales transaction. The front of the card is then updated to display points earned along with other personalised messages such as targeted offers, special promotions, advertising, and details about instant win games.
Consumers aged 18 or over earn one point for each beer they buy in the Bud family (including Budweiser, Bud Light, and Bud Ice). Cardholders have the opportunity to win various prizes instantly, and can accumulate points for other rewards ranging from a can cooler or a barbecue grill to a Mazda 3s Sport Wagon.
The programme is running at more than 150 participating bars, restaurants, and stores on the island.
"The Bud Fresh Rewards Card is one of the most dynamic and diverse loyalty programmes in the island's retail history," said Tom Shimizu, general manager of Ambros Inc., a distributor of Budweiser products in Micronesia.
