Choice steps up guest loyalty activities
Choice Hotels has been stepping up its frequent guest loyalty programme activity, providing Choice Privileges members with several new offers and travel reward options.
European bonus In celebration of the recent launch of the Choice Privileges rewards programme in Europe, Choice Hotels and American Express are now offering loyal guests the chance to earn double Choice Privileges points for qualifying stays at over 300 properties throughout Europe.
During September, October, and November 2008, guests who register in advance and pay with their American Express card can earn 10 bonus points per US$1 spent, in addition to the usual 10 base points (bringing the total reward to 20 points per US$1 spent) for Choice Privileges stays in Europe. The offer includes hotels under the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands.
New travel rewards At the same time, Cambria Suites guests can also gain more for their money until 31st December 2008 with a new triple Airline Rewards & Amtrak Guest Rewards promotion. During the offer period, guests at every Cambria Suites brand hotel can choose to earn either triple the amount of Airline Rewards or Amtrak Guest Rewards points during qualifying stays.
Among the 12 airline partners included in the offer are American Airlines (AAdvantage), Continental (OnePass), Delta (SkyMiles), Northwest (WorldPerks), Southwest Airlines (Rapid Rewards), US Airways (Dividend Miles) and United (Mileage Plus). To be eligible, guests simply need to provide their frequent flyer or Amtrak Guest Rewards number at check-in.
Triple points during Elections In the US, Choice Hotels has also launched an "Elect to Earn Triple Points" promotion for its MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn brand hotels (a total of over 1,200 properties).
Until the end of November 2008, members who book their stay through the hotel group's web site or call centre will earn triple Choice Privileges points, starting with their second qualifying stay. Members who book stays using other methods will earn double Choice Privileges points instead, also starting with their second stay.
Choice Privileges currently claims over 7 million members.
