Citi offers an extra ThankYou for credit card loyalty

Holders of Citi Cards' 'ThankYou Network' credit cards have been earning extra loyalty points on their purchases this holiday season through an extra benefit called 'ThankYou Merchants' that has been made available to them.

Citi, a member of financial services company, CitiGroup, has launched ThankYou Merchants to provide card members with an opportunity to earn incremental ThankYou Points (on average, five points per dollar spent) with each purchase made online, by phone or in store at member retailers. There is no annual cap on the points that card members can earn from purchases made through ThankYou Merchants - a range of over 200 e-tailers, retailers and cataloguers.

Card members may be able to redeem their points faster by taking advantage of special offers, merchant bonus point promotions and combining their ThankYou Points from various participating Citi Card and AT&T Universal Card accounts at the time of redemption. Card members of the following Citi card products are entitled to earn bonus points through ThankYou Merchants: Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards MasterCard, Citi PremierPass Card, Citi Platinum Select MasterCard with ThankYou Network, Citi.you MasterCard, and AT&T Universal MasterCard with ThankYou Network.

No limit To earn incremental points (ranging from one to ten ThankYou Points per dollar spent) card members must first register on the ThankYou web site. Then every time they shop at ThankYou Merchants, by phone or in-store at a participating retailer, they will earn bonus points on every dollar spent on their registered Citi or AT&T Universal credit card.

In addition, gift certificates purchased through ThankYou Merchants also earn bonus points. There is no limit to the points they can earn per year through ThankYou Merchants. All points earned through ThankYou Merchants are collected and automatically posted to their Card Account. For purchases made at retailers outside of ThankYou Merchants, cardmembers will continue to earn up to 5 points per US$1 spent on eligible Citi or AT&T Universal credit cards.

Personal shoppers too Cardmembers can redeem points (online or by telephone) for a broad range of items and services. With ThankYou Network, redemption items start with as few as 1,000 points. Offers include gift certificates for merchandise or dining, electronics, entertainment, and travel options as well as unique items like APR reductions, hot air balloon rides, or golf and spa packages. Rewards can even be customised with a "Your Wish Fulfilled" option, which comes with a personal shopper.
