Coles Myer Source Card holders get fuel benefits
The Australian retailer, Coles Myer, has announced that all customers who have a Coles Myer Source MasterCard with FlyBuys points 'Extra Fast' will be able to redeem those points for fuel or other items at Coles Express service stations, or for Coles Myer gift vouchers.
"We are offering customers the opportunity to redeem 6,000 FlyBuys points for Aus$40 of Coles Express fuel or convenience store items, or a Aus$40 gift voucher which can be used in any other Coles Myer store," explained John Fletcher, CEO for Coles Myer. The offer begins on June 1st and ends on December 31st, 2004.
Customers who have the Coles Myer Source Card with FlyBuys 'Extra Fast' earn 7 FlyBuys points for every Aus$5 spent in Coles Myer stores, or 5 points for every Aus$5 spent at other merchants worldwide.
"In the past some customers have complained that their FlyBuys points expired before they could accumulate enough to be eligible for a reward," said Fletcher. "Now, every time they accumulate 6,000 points they can fill their tank with fuel from Coles Express or get a Coles Myer gift voucher."
The Source Card/FlyBuys/Coles Express fuel redemption offer is in addition to the existing Coles Express fuel discount programme which offers customers spending Aus$30 or more in Coles, Bi-Lo, Liquorland or Coles Online a 4-cent per litre discount at 595 Coles Express service stations across Australia.
According to Coles Myer chairman, Rick Allert, a critical part of the company's goal of becoming the top retailer in all of its brands is providing customers with better value every day and a new loyalty programme that is affordable to the company, and that rewards all of its customers including shareholders.
