More than a quarter of European companies will invest in a CRM solution during 2002 according to a six-country survey of IT spend and trends conducted jointly by Datamonitor and PeopleSoft.
Almost a third of the 200 survey respondents said that customer relationship management (CRM) is the most prominent area for IT investment in 2002. Another 22% see application integration as a key investment area, while enterprise service automation, enterprise resource management and supplier relationship management were seen as less important.
