Delta SkyMiles from ATMs

A new loyalty programme allows ATM operators to automatically award frequent flyer miles to customers of their ATMs.

Consumers can now collect Delta SkyMiles by simply using an ATM (Automated Teller Machine). Chicago-based software company, Tekchand, the developer of the ATMRewards Miles Programme, plans to use the programme to encourage consumers to use and experiment with newly created services at the ATM. The software platform allows ATM users to benefit from the programme, regardless of the bank or charge card used to initiate transactions at the ATM.

The ATMRewards Software Platform is a host-based software solution that doesn't require ATM operators to overhaul ATM hardware, software or connectivity. It is intended to enhance customer acquisition and retention, increase retail customer profitability, extend marketing and branding strategies, and deliver Internet content today.

According to Delta's director of partnership marketing, Christine Pearce, "Delta is pleased to provide SkyMiles members with new ways to earn miles, even when they are not flying with Delta."
