Dynamic fuel discount loyalty scheme revamped
The Dallas-based technology firm, MetroSplash Systems Group, has acquired the assets of Fuel Links, Inc., including its cross-merchandising system that provides retailers with customer loyalty programmes that dynamically discount fuel prices based on in-store purchases.
The firm is to upgrade the original Fuel Links technology to include merchandising systems analogous with existing airline mileage reward programmes, to reward consumers with immediate volume-based fuel discounts determined by their in-store grocery purchases.
Initial systems installed at grocery stores with fuel outlets have demonstrated significant growth in traffic, as well as both total sales and profit margins, across both fuel and in-store merchandise, in addition to an increase in customer satisfaction and same-store loyalty.
MetroSplash is now working with a national network of oil and petrol distributors, marketing firms, as well as a consortium of major food services brands, marketing, and distribution companies which serves the grocery and convenience store industry.
"We look forward to serving Fuel Links' existing customers and bringing new vision to the original Fuel Links platform," said MetroSplash's CEO, Christopher Daly.
