Europcar UK launches Privilege loyalty scheme
In the UK, Europcar has announced the launch of its new 'Privilege' loyalty programme, free membership of which offers frequent car renters to benefit from personalised discounts, including up to 30% off leisure rentals.
With a view to relieving some of the time time pressures faced by today's traveller - especially independent business travellers - the Privilege programme was designed to provides crucial time-saving benefits.
For example, it eliminates queuing and paperwork, and guarantees reservations.
In addition to saving money on car hire, Privilege members also have access to discounts from other services offered by Europcar partners. Privilege Club also offers an express car pick-up service to provide extra convenience for its members.
Travellers can sign up for the programme online via Europcar's website to begin earning their Privilege activity points. From the very first car rental thereafter, members are part of the Privilege Club, allowing them a 10% discount on leisure rental rates as well as special room rates at participating Accor Hotels, including access to the Accor loyalty programme.
After members have completed ten car hires in a year, they are upgraded to Privilege Executive status, and their benefits increase. These include a 20% discount on leisure hires, plus free upgrades (subject to availability).
For members booking more than 25 hires per year, membership of Privilege Elite is offered. This provides a 30% discount on leisure rates, one free weekend hire per year, one free additional named driver per rental, and a selection of benefits from Accor Hotels.
Privilege members can view their personal account at any time by logging on to the Europcar website to check their bookings and balances.
According to Ken McCall, managing director for Europcar UK, "We designed Privilege to customers them the ultimate in convenience, as well as to thank them for their loyalty through the 'get more by hiring more' principle."
Europcar operates in 150 countries with a combined fleet averaging some 200,000 vehicles.
