Fishers launches AirTran-related loyalty scheme

In the US, Fishers Foods has rolled out a new 'Fishers Rewards' loyalty programme, giving shoppers the option to redeem their loyalty points for a selection of free groceries, gifts and gift cards, along with AirTran Airways rewards.

Fishers Foods decided to launch its new shopper engagement initiative to help support its existing 'Shop Fresh, Shop Local' campaign message, which returns food dollars spent at Fishers to the Stark County community in the form of jobs, local vendor support, and donations to local charities.

According to Jeff Fisher, president for Fishers Foods, "We aim to use Fishers Rewards to tie up with the programmes we have always had within our community, along with other new opportunities for schools, churches and other charitable organisations."

Fishers Foods also partnered with Akron Canton Regional Airport and AirTran Airways to help support and promote the local travel hub. Shoppers who register their Fishers Rewards card are entered to win free round-trip tickets on AirTran Airways.

Fishers' shoppers can also redeem their points for AirTran Airways rewards as well as gift cards from Fishers and other popular retailers such as Borders, Best Buy, and iTunes.

Fishers Foods has been serving Stark County, OH, for more than 75 years, and now operates seven locations offering both traditional and specialty products, along with additional services such as home deliveries and the Loretta Paquanini School of Cooking.
