HawaiianMiles programme adds new benefits
After enlisting the help of marketing services firm Kobie Marketing, Hawaiian Airlines has expanded its HawaiianMiles frequent flyer programme to make earning award travel with the airline faster and easier than before.
The HawaiianMiles programme has added hundreds of new online and in-store brand-name products and services, as well as an expanded online shopping experience that allows members to earn extra mileage for their purchases. According to Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian's president and CEO, "Members will see we've raised the bar in providing them with more buying power and new ways to earn miles for travel and other rewards."
Hawaiian worked with Kobie Marketing to redesign the programme's web site, which showcases many new product partners and mileage earning opportunities, and which adds new functionality and more convenient, user-friendly options.
Among the programme web site's new and upgraded features:
- HawaiianMiles Rewards Toolbar - allowing members to earn miles while searching online for participating product partners.
- Gift Card Mall - allowing members to purchase gift cards online from brand name retailers and earn miles with their purchase.
- HawaiianMiles eMarket has tripled the number of available online retail partners to more than 1,000 participants, and is now offering more special promotions and bonus-mile earning opportunities for members when making purchases.
- Map Search feature - makes it easier for members to search for partners and products by category or location, and includes built-in links to Facebook and Twitter for them to share this information with the network of friends and associates.
Membership enrolment in HawaiianMiles remains free of charge, and can be completed online. Members can also continue to take advantage of the existing HawaiianMiles sub-programmes they have already been using, including the XtraMiles programme that provides up to 5 miles per US$1 spent when using their Hawaiian Airlines Visa Card at participating partner outlets in Hawaii and on the US mainland.
In re-creating the programme with HawaiianMiles, Kobie Marketing is now working with hundreds of national and local merchants to offer (for no fees beyond the cost of the miles themselves) participating partners placement on Hawaiian's web site, as well as promotion through the programme's newsletters, mileage statements, e-mail blasts, and in Hana Hou! (Hawaiian's in-flight magazine).
