Hewson Group divests end user consulting arm to Kainos

Hewson Group has divested Hewson Consulting Ltd (HCL) to Belfast-based CRM systems integrator Kainos. Hewson Group's activities as CRM specialists and analysts are unaffected by the deal.

Until now, HCL has been a dedicated consultancy arm of Hewson Group, an independent CRM market analyst organisation, founded by Nick Siragher, Nick Hewson and Wendy Hewson. Kainos' acquisition of HCL includes:

  • CRM consultancy tools: This includes the 'CRM blueprint', which will allow Kainos to build upon HCL's existing strengths within the CRM operations arena.
  • CRM Research: A unique body of research into the application of CRM worldwide, incorporated into a browser-based database of CRM case studies.
  • Access to knowledge: Nick Hewson, managing director of Hewson Group believes that Kainos have identified a critical trend in the market: A move by both vendors and integrators, as well as experienced end users, toward a more analytical way of approaching CRM implementations.

Hewson believes that the consultancy tools developed by HCL enable the firm to consistently apply demonstrable knowledge about the application of CRM to clients. Kainos' managing director Brendan Mooney added, "Our commitment to delivering successful CRM implementations and strategy is made possible by this strategic expansion of our consulting and solution delivery capabilities. This acquisition will allow us to provide more expertise to both present and future customers".
