H&R Block teams with Rewards Network for tax filing
With the approach of the US tax filing deadline, the loyalty and rewards programme provider Rewards Network Inc. set up a bonus-mileage incentive for Delta SkyMiles programme members who used H&R Block to beat the filing deadline.
Delta SkyMiles members in the Rewards Network programme who were new H&R Block clients this year earned a bonus of 1,000 frequent flyer miles for having their 2003 tax return completed at an H&R Block retail office. Returning H&R Block clients earned a bonus of 250 miles.
"This relationship with H&R Block is one example of how Rewards Network is increasing its partnerships with the merchants and services our members are likely to use," said George Wiedemann, president and CEO for Rewards Network.
To take advantage of the loyalty incentive offer, Rewards Network members were simply required to provide their SkyMiles programme frequent flyer membership number when they paid for H&R Block tax filing services. Miles earned through the programme were then automatically credited to their SkyMiles account.
The H&R Block bonus is in addition to the mileage benefits that SkyMiles members can also earn in their dining and hotels programmes, through which they can earn up to 10 miles for every US$1 spent when dining at more than 10,800 restaurants, and when staying at more than 6,900 hotels nationwide.
