KidsFutures adds several retail partners

The Canadian microinvestment-based college savings reward programme KidsFutures has announced the expansion of its grocery rewards programme into several new markets.

Since going live with its first grocery partner (Longo Brothers Fruit Markets) in the Toronto area in mid-2005, the programme (operated by KidsFutures Inc.) is already available in 32 locations across Ontario, including 11 different grocery brand banners, and is adding more new locations in Ontario, British Columbia, and Manitoba during the next two months.

The KidsFutures grocery programme enables members to automatically earn KidsFutures Rewards on hundreds of partner products by swiping their KidsFutures Collector Card at the grocery store check-out.

New locations New grocery launch plans include:·  Stong's Market (Vancouver, British Columbia)·  Family Foods (Winnipeg, Manitoba - 2 locations)·  Stonewall Family Foods (Stonewall, Manitoba)·  Johnny's Fresh Market (Sioux Lookout, Ontario)

Existing locations The KidsFutures Rewards programme is already available in the following grocery stores in Ontario: Battaglia's Marketplace (Mississauga); Beaver Mills Market (Rainy River); Central Fresh Market (Kitchener-Waterloo); Chesley Grocery Store (Chesley); Foodland-Hinds Foods (Grand Valley); La Mantia's Country Market (Lindsay); Longo Brothers Fruit Markets (14 locations in the GTA); L&M Food Markets (based in Elora - 7 locations in Ontario); Moncion Grocer (Pembroke/Petawawa - 2 locations); Matheson's Food Market (Embro); and Quality Market (Thunder Bay - 2 locations).

According to Mark Farrell, chief executive officer for KidsFutures Inc., "We're getting terrific feedback from grocers coast-to-coast who are interested in becoming KidsFutures programme partners, and a very positive response from thousands of new members experiencing KidsFutures first-hand in their local grocery stores."
