Kintera launches Social CRM for fundraisers
The US-based fundraising CRM system provider Kintera Inc. has launched a new 'Social CRM' system to unite online and offline donors' experiences, and to enable non-profit organisations to drive interactions and relationships based on comprehensive knowledge of their donors.
The company's new Kintera Sphere v8.0 social CRM system combines online and offline activity into a single database, and includes modules for donor management, member management, prospect management, participant management and volunteer management.
Building emotional links Social CRM aims to generate meaningful communications to create a more powerful giving experience, including greater trust, sense of belonging, instant gratification, emotional release, and a sense of social impact.
The non-profit organisation Big Brothers Big Sisters of America has already begun using the system to manage its relationships. According to Robin Palley, vice president of new business development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, "The system provides an interactive platform for both donors and our staff, enabling donors to become more active in their relationship with us."
Features Delivered via the Kintera Sphere software-as-a-service platform, Kintera CRM is the platform for the new social CRM system, allowing non-profits to build complete constituent profiles with standard profiles, custom fields, and dynamic segmentation. New features include:
- Gift processing, to manage a range of gift types (e.g. straight donations, pledges, recurring gifts, split gifts, soft credits, gifts of stock, and gifts in kind);
- Development campaign manager, to allow development staff to define and manage campaigns, funds and appeals. The system cab manage multiple campaign types including annual, capital and endowment campaigns;
- Letters and acknowledgements, which automates the creation and sending of personalised "thank you" letters for gifts and pledges, to ensure that donors are acknowledged both promptly and consistently for their donations.
