LOYALTY

Walmart adds Walmart Rewards

Highlight: The retailer that said it would never launch a formal loyalty program seems to have done just that. According to Walmart, their ambition with Walmart+ is to offer a suite of benefits and services that are additive for its members. The latest member perk is Walmart Rewards, a way for Walmart+ members to earn additional savings towards future purchases. Members can bank their digital rewards in the Walmart wallet in the app and online and use them to save on future purchases in stores and online. These new item-specific rewards are powered by the Ibotta Performance Network, and became available June 24, 2022.

Cal's Convenience and Paytronix team up to launch Cal's Stripes

Highlight: Cal’s Convenience announced its new loyalty program Cal’s Stripes powered by Paytronix. Cal’s operates 211 Stripes by Cal's Convenience locations in West Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. The company acquired 200-plus convenience stores from Sunoco LP in 2018 in a separate agreement from 7-Eleven Inc.'s acquisition of more than 1,000 Stripes locations when Sunoco exited the retail operations business. Paytronix Chief Revenue Officer Charles Gray said "Cal's has established a commitment to the customer that is clearly articulated in its loyalty program and will be a key part as it continues to grow both its Cal's Convenience and Stripes brands."

Highlight: Turkish Airlines connects with Bilt Rewards to reward currency in its Miles & Smiles program for paying your rent. Bilt Rewards is a collection of 2M+ rental homes across America that lets you earn points by paying rent. Tractor Supply add Petsense benefits to its Neighbor's Club loyalty program

As part of the announcement, Petsense announced its rebranding as Petsense by Tractor Supply. The more than 26 million members of Neighbor’s Club will now have new ways to earn through products and services at Petsense. The Company anticipates the expansion will deepen relationships with existing customers and help attract new pet customers to both Tractor Supply and Petsense by Tractor Supply.
