Marriott adds guest benefits and loyalty bonus
Marriott International has expanded its 'Rewarding Welcome' programme to include guests' preferred options for extra towels, pillows, fridges, and newspapers. At the same time, the hotel group's loyalty programme, Marriott Rewards, has brought back its popular 'MegaBonus' promotion.
The Marriott Rewarding Welcome system allows staff at eight of the brands participating in the Marriott Rewards frequent guest programme to anticipate and deliver on members' personal stay preferences. The expanded programme now allows guests to request extra towels, foam pillows, refrigerators and particular newspapers (where available).
Marriott Rewards members can enter their preferences into their Marriott Rewards accounts online, and the information is recorded for delivery globally at Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott Vacation Club International, Courtyard, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield Inn and TownePlace Suites brands.
Loyalty bonus Marriott Rewards has also brought back its long-running MegaBonus promotion, which will now run until 15th May 2006. Members receive up to 10,000 Marriott Rewards points after completing any five stays at the programme's 2,600 participating hotels. Members earn 2,500 bonus Marriott Rewards points for every stay (beginning with their second stay), up to the 10,000 point maximum. However, some Marriott Rewards members will receive slightly different promotional offers, and they will only be eligible for the offer they personally receive.
Marriott Rewards is free to join, and allows members to earn points or airline miles on their spend at participating Marriott International brands. Points can be redeemed for free hotel stays, merchandise, rental cars, cruises, adventure travel tours, theme park tickets and other awards. The programme currently has 22 million members worldwide, and is available at 2,600 participating hotels throughout 65 countries.
