Multi-partner photographic reward scheme launches
The US-based photographic enthusiasts' magazine Shutterbug has announced details of its new 'Shutterbug Gold Member' reward programme, offering serious amateur and professional photographers members-only discounts on photographic products and services.
According to Shutterbug's publisher, Ron Leach, the magazine intends to use its unique relationship with readers and sponsors to create a programme that benefits all concerned.
Free membership Enrolment in the Gold Member programme is being offered free of charge to the 86,000+ subscribers of Shutterbug, as well as another 300,000 non-subscription readers of the magazine.
Leach commented: "In this era of intense competition from a multiplicity of media outlets we felt we should put our weight behind a programme that offers benefits to a large group of users."
First sponsor named Shutterbug has named the first sponsoring partner in the programme, which will continue to add partners over time: the web site myPhotopipe.com, which hosts an online community of serious amateur and professional photographers. myPhotopipe.com is also an online photo processing laboratory that prints from digital photos. It offers over 94 print options in sizes up to 8 feet wide.
Additional details about the programme are scheduled to appear on the magazine's web site, and through its founding partner's web site.
