National Car Rental launches loyalty club

The US-based car rental firm, National Car Rental, has launched a revamped and enhanced version of its 'Emerald Club' loyalty rewards programme.

The new club will retain existing features such as paperless transactions, and add other benefits such as earning free rental days and - for higher level members - guaranteed car upgrades.

Club members are to be given priority service at all National Car Rental locations throughout the US and Canada, along with a web-based service allowing them to track their rewards and obtain faster customer service.

There are now membership levels (Emerald Club, Emerald Club Executive, and Emerald Club Executive Elite) based on the number of car rentals made by each member during the calendar year.

Members of the higher two levels earn free rentals more quickly, and they also qualify for guaranteed car upgrades. Available only to the elite level is the ability to request vehicle pick-up from and delivery to a non-commercial airport terminal.

All members may choose to earn free rental days when renting with National, or can continue to accrue miles with any of National's airline partners.
