Nectar Business signs new insurance partner

UK business to business (B2B) coalition loyalty programme, Nectar Business, has announced a new signing for its partner portfolio: Allianz Business Services, which operates business insurance provider Premierline Direct.

The Nectar Business scheme now claims membership of more than 600,000 collectors and offers business-related benefits for purchases from partner companies, which will now include up to 2,000 Nectar points when members take out a new insurance policy with Premierline Direct.

According to Chris Little, managing director for Premierline Direct, "This partnership offers small businesses more for their money and we also gain a USP (unique selling point) in the marketplace. It will help us to drive renewal rates and acquire new customers by making our insurance propositions more appealing to small businesses in today's tough economic climate."

Businesses can earn 100 Nectar points whenever they get a quotation from Premierline Direct and, once the new policy is taken out, the member then earns up to an additional 2,000 points. The number of points collected depends on the type of policy: 2,000 points for business combined insurance, motor trader insurance or pub & restaurant insurance; 1,000 points for commercial vehicle insurance, hotel insurance, property owner insurance or shop insurance; or 500 points for contractor insurance or office insurance.

Louise Isaacs, head of Nectar Business, added: "Small businesses have lots of expenses, ranging from telephone calls and energy bills to advertising and insurance, and we aim to make sure they get something back for their spending."

Businesses that join the programme can collect points through all the Nectar Business partners (which include Viking Direct, Dulux Decorator Centres, Brakes Foodservice, EDF Energy, Hertz, Thomson Local, BOC, Premierline Direct and The Nectar Business credit card) as well as through partners of the Nectar consumer loyalty programme.

Members can also collect points online with over 450 retail partners, including Amazon, Vodafone + broadband, BT Business, Orange + broadband, Dell, Apple, PC World, Mc Affee, Pixmania, Viking Direct Tmobile + broadband, O2 + broadband, Red Letter Days, The Trainline, The Link, Halfords, Virgin Mobile + broadband, Interflora Other Nectar sponsors include: Sainsbury's, BP, Ford, Hertz, Brewers Fayre, Beefeater, Table Table, American Express, Vision Express and Thomson Directories.
