Nectar for Business relaunched & revitalised

In the UK, the 'Nectar for Business' loyalty programme - which is attached to the consumer-oriented Nectar coalition programme - has been relaunched, with a re-invigorated loyalty offering and a re-designed web site offering business members a wider range of rewards.

According to programme operator, Loyalty Management Group (LMG), the re-launch of the Nectar Business brand both recognises the needs of SME collectors and rewards them for their loyalty, offering additional ways to spend points on enhanced rewards for business and personal treats.

New features The programme's new, upbeat, simple-to-use web site provides information on all Nectar Business sponsors and makes it easier for SMEs to spend their Nectar points. For example, business collectors can log onto the personalised "My Nectar Business" section of the web site to view their points statement, use a points calculator, find recently viewed rewards, and redeem their points.

Each month there will be special offers made available for a limited period of time, beginning with 25% off champagne and chocolates (starting at 4,550 points) for December 2007. Laptop computers are also on offer with 25% off (starting at 68,925 points), and magazine subscriptions have 50% off (starting from 2,500 points).

Exclusive offers Other exclusive ticket offers will run at various times of the year, giving collectors a chance to spend points on tickets to sought-after events. The first one (scheduled for February 2008) is a VIP package to the Cheltenham races, including champagne and lunch.

In addition, a Nectar Business Builder service has been added to provide support for collectors' businesses. Provided by BeProfessional, the service offers online advice and software to help Nectar Business collectors run their business more efficiently, saving both time and money.

New cards and options Business members who sign up for the Nectar Business programme will immediately receive the re-designed plastic card, while existing active collectors will be sent the new card early in 2008.

The business programme can still be combined with personal shopping, as before, so collectors can benefit from using their Nectar Business card not only with Nectar Business sponsors but also through ordinary Nectar sponsors such as Sainsbury's, Debenhams and BP.

Charlie Humphreys, head of Nectar Business, said: "Nectar Business is moving in a new and exciting direction. We have spent a lot of time putting together innovative, desirable rewards and treats that reflect our collectors' needs and ultimately acknowledge our customers' loyalty to the programme."

Nectar Business figures According to LMG, Nectar Business now has more than 450,000 active business points collectors. The largest Nectar redemption to date was made by a Nectar Business collector, for an impressive 1 million points in November 2006.

The current Nectar Business sponsors are: Viking Direct, ICI Dulux Decorator Centres, Brakes Foodservice, EDF Energy, Hertz, HSS Hire, Thomson Local, BOC, and The Nectar Business Credit Card

The consumer-oriented Nectar programme's sponsors are: Sainsbury's, Debenhams, BP, Ford, EDF Energy, Hertz, Thomson, Brewers Fayre, Beefeater, American Express, Talk Talk, Dollond & Aitchison, Thomson Directories, Gala Bingo and of course Nectar eStores.
