New loyalty programme for Volvo Trucks USA
By using either of two new purchasing cards, operators of Volvo trucks in the US can now earn points that they can put toward the purchase of new trucks, parts or service.
Volvo Financial Services has launched two purchasing card products: the Volvo MasterCard and the Volvo Fuel & Service card rewards programme. Both cards feature purchase controls and reporting tools to allow customers to more efficiently and economically manage their business.
The fuel and service card lets cardholders purchase fuel from nearly 50,000 diesel locations, including 7,000 truck stops and cardlocks (anywhere the Wright Express Card is accepted). Wright Express will manage both card programmes..
Member benefits There are a number of benefits to membership of the programme, whether through the MasterCard or the Fuel & Service Card, including:
- Fuel and service card holders receive a US$0.03 discount on diesel at participating Petro fuel stops;
- Volvo Partnership Rewards points: Cardholders earn reward points toward a new truck or parts and service purchase. With the MasterCard, one point for each dollar spent; with the Fuel and Service Card, one point for each gallon purchased and one point for each dollar spent on parts and service. Each point can be redeemed for US$0.015 toward the price of a new Volvo truck, or redeemed as US$0.01 toward parts and service at participating Volvo truck dealers;
- Monthly (net 26 days) or weekly (net 14 days) billing;
- Detailed reporting with capture of driver ID and odometer reading;
- Online account management;
- Cash price fuelling at participating stations;
- Vehicle service at participating locations.
Web-based tools The programme also features web-based tools providing various options and controls:
- Less time spent searching for unauthorised purchases;
- An email sent when a purchase exceeds any preset guidelines;
- Steers drivers to lower cost fuel locations with Daily Best Fuel Price;
- Creates custom reports based on transactions, vehicles and drivers;
- Add, change, or terminate cards and driver IDs immediately.
