PayBack spins off loyalty solutions business

Loyalty Partner, the operator of the German coalition loyalty programme, PayBack, has spun off a new business unit called 'Loyalty Partner Solutions', aiming to provide other businesses with IT solutions and process management for customer management.

Loyalty Partner Solutions' operations focus on self-developed IT solutions that support companies in setting up customer loyalty programmes and running them successfully.

Loyalty services offered Loyalty Partner Solutions will offer a variety of IT services, ranging from consulting, development and implementation of the solution to integration in the existing infrastructure complete with data migration, data centre management and technical support. Loyalty Partner Solutions also executes and optimises CRM processes for its customers as required.

Loyalty Partner Solutions' services are specifically aimed at companies in the retail and transport/aviation sectors, in which professional customer management is indispensable in today's economic environment. The Loyalty Management Suite (LMS) aims to provide a software solution specially oriented toward the requirements of these industries.

Supporting PayBack too Even at its launch stage, Loyalty Partner Solutions is already starting out with years' worth of experience as an IT service provider. The company was formed from the former IT department of Loyalty Partner (which developed the IT platform for the PayBack loyalty programme).

Millions of transactions are already handled by the IT platform, and Loyalty Partner Solutions is therefore already familiar with the requirements of a bonus programme operator from its own previous experience. The company will also continue to work for PayBack as the main IT service provider.

Loyalty Partner Solutions also counts Deutsche Bahn among its customers, as it also takes care of all of the company's CRM operations. These include implementation and operation of an integrated CRM system platform, and operational programme management for the BahnCard, bahn.comfort and bahn.bonus initiatives, including control of participating service providers.

Loyalty software platform The Loyalty Management Suite is a flexible software platform for the setup and operation of customer loyalty programmes. It maps the whole chain of customer loyalty activities, from account management and management of redemption processes to implementing advertising campaigns.

LMS also helps companies better understand the needs of their target groups. The software offers interfaces to all popular CRM, data warehouse and data mining systems and therefore brings together all the existing customer information the company holds.

Corporate reorganisation The founding of Loyalty Partner Solutions came as part of a reorganisation of the parent company, Loyalty Partner, which has now been trading for ten years. Since 2003, the company has offered consulting and services relating to data analysis and customer insight through Emnos GmbH, and IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) services were added under the umbrella of Loyalty Partner.

Demand for these services has risen continuously over the last few years, and Loyalty Partner has also reported strong growth, which ultimately led to this corporate reorganisation. With immediate effect, the current business units will become legally independent. In the future, they will operate as independent companies under the names PayBack GmbH and Loyalty Partner Solutions GmbH.

According to Loyalty Partner, these companies will be centrally controlled by the management holding company, Loyalty Partner GmbH. The aim of this reorganisation was to create clear structures, increase the efficiency of all three companies, and to establish a firmer foundation for future growth.
