UK national lottery subscribers to earn Air Miles
Air Miles in the UK has joined forces with the country's National Lottery to offer members a subscription to the lottery that earns Air Miles at the same time.
This week's announcement to Air Miles members explains the benefits of collecting miles by subscribing to lottery games, while not having to queue for tickets, and never having to remember to go out and purchase their ticket before the deadline.
Members earn up to 250 miles for their subscription, even though the subscription lottery tickets cost the same as tickets purchased over the counter. Air Miles members who subscribe are also being entered into a prize draw, gaining the chance to win a trip to New York on Concorde.
One more benefit of the new lottery subscription is that players no longer need to check their numbers in person every week (as has always been the case). If a subscriber's ticket wins anything, they will be notified automatically and, for most wins, a cheque will be issued by mail without the need to fill out a claim form or present a ticket in person.
