Vodafone joins PayBack as major corporate partner
The German loyalty programme PayBack and telecommunications provider Vodafone have teamed up to provide more value for PayBack members by awarding PayBack points to new Vodafone customers who subscribe to services via the programme's web site.
Points can be collected under Vodafone's own Vodafone Stars bonus programme, and can be converted into PayBack points at any time. Programme members are also able to exchange their PayBack points for a number of mobile communication offers.
"With PayBack as a partner, we can offer additional advantages and rewards to customers, convince them of our communications competence, and boost their loyalty," commented Frank Rosenberger, marketing director for Vodafone Germany.
Good for collectors Alexander Rittweger, CEO for Loyalty Partner (the company that operates PayBack) added: "This is a joint venture that offers unlimited added value for all parties. Our new partner will help us to make our loyalty scheme even more attractive, because people can now collect points much faster for redemption against their chosen reward."
PayBack was launched in March 2000 and has grown quickly, with one in three German households now actively collecting PayBack points. According to an Emnid survey, the PayBack card is the third most popular card in German wallets (after EC and health insurance cards).
PayBack's other partners currently include Apollo-Optik, Aral, Danische Bettenlager, dm-drogerie markt, Galeria Kaufhof, LINDA Apotheken, OBI, Real, and WMF. Vodafone Germany serves some 30 million customers, and has an annual turnover of over 8 billion.
