Wyndham Rewards launches in South America

The global hotel frequent guest loyalty programme, Wyndham Rewards, has announced its expansion into a number of new countries throughout Latin America.

The expansion is part of the programme's strategy to provide Wyndham Rewards members with earning and redemption options in all 66 countries where Wyndham Hotel Group properties are located. The programme was already available in over 50 countries.

The programme was most recently launched in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Peru at properties affiliated with the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Howard Johnson, Ramada, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham and Wingate by Wyndham brands. The programme is also available at select TRYP by Wyndham properties.

In addition to an expanded portfolio of participating hotels, Wyndham Rewards recently launched a new global rewards catalogue allowing members in all countries where the programme is available to redeem points for items that are locally relevant to them, including rewards such as gift cards for local retailers and tickets to local events.

For a limited launch period, members staying in any of the newly participating countries from 27th September until 26th November 2012 will earn 5,500 bonus points after two qualifying stays.

Wyndham Rewards currently claims more than 7 million active members worldwide, and is available in more than 7,000 hotels. In addition to free stays, members may redeem their points for hundreds of reward options, including airline travel, resort vacations, event tickets, gift certificates for leading retailers and restaurants and more. Free stays start at 6,000 points, while other reward options start at only 2,200 points. Members may also choose to earn airline or rail miles with over 20 leading carriers.
