Kmart launches new membership program in Australia
For $4 per month, or $40 per year, Kmart shoppers can subscribe to the new OnePass membership program. The offer includes free delivery on thousands of eligible products and brings together big-name brands including Kmart, Target, Catch and Bunnings Warehouse. For those customers hesitant to jump right into the subscription program model, there’s a 30-day free trial offer.
Orange Luxembourg launches Orange Thank You retention program
Orange Luxembourg customers are now invited to join its Orange Thank You loyalty program. The program is retention based and awards gifts on birthdays and special occasions as well as exclusive benefits throughout the year. Best yet, long term patronage is awarded with big bucks (Euros) off the future smartphone purchases. Orange Luxembourg and its parent company Orange Belgium have more than 3 million customers in Belgium and Luxembourg and operates a mobile network in more than 27 countries around the world. It is one of Europe's and Africa's leading mobile and internet operators and a global leader in business telecommunications services.
Audible launches a rewards program, or did they?
Audible, the largest audiobook producer and retailer in the US has launched Audible Rewards. It’s a curious offer with several key restrictions. The rewards program is available only to Audible Premium Plus or Audible Silver subscribers. Rewards earned expire if they aren’t redeemed within two weeks. Best yet, the program is available only until June 30th, 2023. Though the offer is presented as a loyalty program, it seems much more like a promotional campaign. Audible is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc.
YOCO point of sale provider helps underdogs win in South Africa
South African based YOCO offers a digital payments solution for over 150,000 small and micro merchants across South Africa. The company has a vision to help the “underdogs” (small to medium to micro businesses) to grow and realize their dreams. In July 2021, the company raised a Series C funding round of $83M (R1.23 billion) to accelerate product development and reach more merchants in South Africa and beyond. Three levels of card acceptance machines are available, with the most basic model available for one time purchase of about USD $40.
