Hydro One (Canada) Expands Myenergy Rewards For Customers Using Smart Devices In Their Homes

The myEnergy Rewards program currently benefits customers who own smart thermostats by providing financial incentives for reduced energy use during the summer. Canadian electric utility Hydro One announced customers can now enroll other smart home devices, including electric vehicles and chargers. More than 11,000 customers have registered their smart thermostats, which allows Hydro One to temporarily adjust the temperature in their homes by a few degrees during periods of high demand for energy in the province. The company says more than 80 per cent of participants surveyed said they were “extremely satisfied or satisfied” with the rewards program.

Dominos Introduces Emergency Pizza For Loyalty Program Members

Domino’s, the largest pizza chain in the world, refreshed its loyalty program in September. Building on those changes, Domino’s is delivering an additional boost by helping consumers in a (pizza) emergency. Inspired by the occasions when someone burns dinner or guests show up unexpectedly, Domino’s pizza giveaway helps consumers in a pinch while also encouraging use of its revamped rewards program. The giveaway will be active from now until Feb. 24, 2024.

Important note: Technology and digital ordering systems have been integral to Domino’s strategy in recent years. In 2022, over 80% of its U.S. retail sales were facilitated via digital channels. Other efforts to promote digital ordering includes an Apple CarPlay integration and the ability to have a pizza delivered anywhere through a pin dropping system.

Dreamscape Companies Launches Property-Wide Rewards Program, Rio Rewards

Dreamscape Companies, the new owner of Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, has launched a brand-new property-wide rewards program, Rio Rewards, which went into effect on Monday, October 2. Rio Rewards will feature four unique tiers: Rouge, Azul, Gold, and Platinum — and will offer "multiple tier benefits" including complimentary hotel accommodations, complimentary show tickets, early check-in /late check out, monthly dining credits, daily drink vouchers and so much more. Existing Caesars Rewards members who have visited the Rio since late 2017 will be preassigned new Rio Rewards loyalty accounts and be able to pick up a new card at one of the Rio Rewards desks or at a loyalty kiosk located around the casino.

Highest ranking brands include:

  • Porsche ranks highest among premium brand car owners for a second consecutive year, with a 56.8% loyalty rate.
  • Volvo ranks highest among premium brand SUV owners.
  • Toyota ranks highest among mass market brand car owners for a second consecutive year.
  • Subaru ranks highest among mass market brand SUV owners.
  • Ford ranks highest among truck owners for a second consecutive year.
